About Immersive Dance Retreats

Why Rangwang?

Dance is freedom for me. 'Rangwang' in Ladakhi means just that - letting go and finding yourself. These immersive dance retreats are about connecting with your body, your story, and the place around you. It’s not just a workshop, it’s a journey. Sometimes it’s tough, sometimes it’s pure joy, but it’s always real.

What Happens Here

  • Small group, 4 nights and 5 days. I keep it intimate so everyone feels safe to open up and try new things.
  • Mornings are for technique - Kathak and contemporary movement. We go deep, sweat a bit, and find rhythm in unexpected ways.
  • Evenings are all about Abhinaya - expression without words. You’ll learn to tell your story through movement.
  • By the end, you’ll have your own choreography, inspired by the place, the people, and the music. We finish with a showcase - your moment.

Beyond the Studio

We don’t just dance indoors. The place becomes part of the retreat. In Ladakh, we did yoga facing the Himalayas, danced by streams, learned local dances, and cooked together. In Goa, we danced on the beach, tried pottery, and cooked Goan food. Sometimes things don’t go as planned, but that’s part of the adventure.

Community Vibes

The best part? The family we build. People come alone, leave as a community. It’s that Ghar wali Diwali feeling - like being home, wherever we are. The dance family stays with you, long after the retreat ends.

My Story

I’m a Kathak dancer who’s always got one foot in Mumbai, one in London, and my head somewhere in the clouds. There was a time I zipped through 5 cities in 3 countries in a month, chasing stages and stories. But then Mumbai’s chaos - autos, sunsets, post-rehearsal chai - started feeling like home. Nothing beats that 'ghar wali Diwali' or a fat nap after a fat meal. Dance is connection for me, more than any big stage.

My Work

Kathak Classes, Workshops & Performances - I teach Kathak technique, offer choreography, and perform for events. Also, I run immersive dance workshops and retreats.

Rangwang Retreats - Dance, Travel, Culture - My Kathak dance retreats blend travel, local culture, and movement. It’s about finding freedom in dance.

Sweaty, Shaky, Safe Space - My classes mix tradition with play. We experiment, sweat, and learn together. No judgement, just dance.
