About The Art of Hand Embroidery
Our embroidery process is entirely bespoke, centered on your specific fabric and design preferences. Whether it is zardosi on raw silk or beadwork on sheer organza, we sketch motifs that complement your saree border, ensuring the final piece feels like a cohesive extension of your personal style rather than a standard, off-the-rack pattern.
Hand embroidery is the soul of our studio. We approach every garment with a focus on traditional techniques like zardosi (metallic wire work), Aari embroidery, and intricate French knots, often mixing these with modern elements like cutwork and sheer organza inserts.
Our Process
When we take on a project, we look beyond the surface. We assess the base fabric—be it Kanjeevaram silk, crepe, or velvet—and develop a motif that enhances its drape and texture. For our bridal clients, we frequently sketch designs that directly replicate the motifs found on the main saree border, creating a harmonious look.
Technical Standards
- Materials: We source high-grade threads, bugle beads, and semi-precious stones to ensure longevity and a rich finish.
- Structure: Every heavily embroidered blouse is constructed with high-density padding and double lining (cotton plus crepe) to support the weight of the embellishments and prevent transparency.
- Placement: We focus on strategic placement, emphasizing sleeve cuffs, back necklines, and borders to create a balanced silhouette that looks elegant from every angle.
If you have a vintage saree you wish to repurpose or a new bridal set in mind, we invite you to discuss your vision. We prioritize craftsmanship that lasts, preferring time-intensive hand techniques over quick, machine-made solutions.
