Hand-Embroidered Bridal Blouse
Design & Consultation
- Personal consultation to sketch motif stories like palanquins, temple architecture, or floral vines.
- Sourcing of raw silk, velvet, or silk-cotton base fabrics dyed to match the saree border.
Embroidery
- Intricate Maggam or Aari hand embroidery using Zardosi gold thread, antique beads, and French knots.
- Heavy placement on back neckline, elbow-length sleeves, and front neckline.
Construction
- Princess-cut tailoring with high-quality padded cups.
- Double lining with a cotton inner layer and crepe middle layer to prevent skin irritation.
- Handmade fabric latkans and hook-eye finishing.
Festive Light Lehenga Set (3-Piece)
Ensemble Specification
- 3-piece set comprising a flared skirt, designer crop top, and dupatta.
- Fabric usage includes floral printed Silk Organza, Banarasi Georgette, or Tussar Silk.
Work Details
- Minimalist hand embroidery featuring scalloped borders on the dupatta and neckline.
- Embellishments include pearl edging, sequin highlights, and Resham thread work.
Tailoring
- Umbrella or Kalidar cut with a 4 to 5 meter circumference flare.
- Canvas fusing at the hem for shape retention and soft inner lining.

- Corset construction with internal boning and pre-stitched draping techniques.

- Heavy Zardosi gold wire work, Marodi work, and antique beadwork.

Layering & Accessories
- Multi-layered hard net can-can installation with a cotton mulmul inner layer.
- Heavy-duty drawstring with jumbo embroidered latkans.
- One heavy dupatta with four-sided embroidered borders and corner motifs.

My Story
We’re Kavya and Pooja, and Sacaru is our labour of love. Indian textiles are kinda our thing – the silk, the brocade, all those stories woven in. We started Sacaru to keep those old-school threads alive, but with a twist for today’s women. We get a kick out of details, like a surprise pop of colour or the fall of a drape. Taking a stained vintage saree and turning it into a modern dress? That’s our jam. Fashion with soul, slow and conscious.
