We breathe new life into older structures, turning dark, enclosed Delhi houses into light-filled, modern sanctuaries while respecting the history held within their walls.

In this Delhi home, we used a deep teal lime plaster to create a feature wall embossed with a 'Tree of Life' motif. This artistic element greets you at the entrance, setting a tone of gentle harmony that flows through the rest of the living spaces.

An overhead view of a transformed 70-year-old home in Delhi. We replaced solid walls with glass and opened up the ceiling to create this double-height living area, using warm wood flooring and contemporary furniture to craft a modern, light-filled sanctuary.

By introducing vaulted ceilings and translucent glass partitions, we fundamentally changed the experience of this 70-year-old house. The design allows light to travel deep into the floor plan, creating an airy, interconnected space that feels both modern and respectful of the original structure.

The ceiling design in this renovated Delhi home features exposed wooden beams and arched vaults, punctuated by a modern spherical chandelier. This combination of rustic structure and contemporary lighting is central to our adaptive reuse philosophy.

We designed this staircase with perforated metal treads and a minimalist steel frame to allow light and views to pass through. Set against an exposed brick wall, it is a key feature in the transformation of an old home, adding an industrial yet refined character.

This view showcases the main landing of a Delhi farmhouse, where modern and spiritual elements converge. A floating wooden staircase is juxtaposed with a serene white bas-relief wall panel depicting lotuses, all illuminated by a circular skylight that bathes the space in soft, natural light.

Another perspective of the farmhouse staircase, emphasizing the clean lines of the glass balustrade and the warm texture of the wooden steps. The design creates a sense of weightlessness, turning a functional element into a sculptural focal point.

About Urban Revitalization: Modernizing Delhi Homes

Transforming an old Delhi home is rarely about just changing the surface. We often start by rethinking the flow, knocking down internal partitions, and introducing skylights to let light penetrate depths that have been dark for decades. It is a process of balancing structural integrity with your need for modern, open-plan living.
