I train young athletes to develop physical skill, mental focus, and strong character. My sessions are grounded in martial arts fundamentals like agility drills, strength conditioning, and precise kicking technique.

Strength and balance are fundamental. Here, an eight year old student demonstrates a one-leg squat, a difficult exercise that builds incredible leg strength, stability, and mental focus.

This drill combines agility and power. The student navigates hurdles to improve footwork and immediately executes a powerful kick on the target pad, training both speed and precision.

Repetition builds mastery. Here, a young student in his dobok (uniform) practices a jumping kick over a hurdle, focusing on height, form, and accuracy with a partner holding the pads.

We use various tools to develop well-rounded athletes. This video shows my students working through a circuit of hurdle jumps and kicking drills to improve their explosive power and coordination.

Balance is a key skill in Taekwondo. In this exercise, students practice maintaining their stance and stability on elevated blocks, a drill that strengthens the core and improves concentration.

This is a look at a full class practicing balance drills together. Group training helps build a sense of shared purpose and discipline as everyone works to master the same difficult techniques.

About Youth Taekwondo: Building Discipline and Skill

In my classes, you will not see students just jumping around. We use hurdle drills, one-leg squats, and target-pad practice to build genuine explosive power and balance. It is about learning the mechanics of Taekwondo from day one, whether your child is here to compete or just to build strength and focus.

At Realistic World Taekwondo School, we operate a proper Dojang, not a play zone. The floor is lined with 25mm EVA mats to ensure safety while students push through intense training cycles. We follow the Kukkiwon standards I brought back from my time at Daekyeung University in South Korea.

For youth students, the journey starts with understanding their own body. We break down complex movements into smaller, repeatable actions. A student practicing a jumping kick over a hurdle is not just trying to clear the obstacle, they are learning to control their center of gravity and generate force from their legs. This attention to detail is what separates a martial artist from someone who is just exercising.

Progression here is measurable. We do not just hand out belts. Students must demonstrate technical proficiency in Kyorugi (sparring) and Poomsae (forms) to advance. Whether a child is starting at five years old or joining as a teen, the requirement remains the same: discipline, sweat, and persistence. You will see my students standing on the podium at district and national championships because we treat every session like competition preparation. If you are looking for a place where your child learns respect, gains resilience, and gets fit, this is it.

I am Master Aquilino Dhar, a 4th Dan Black Belt trained at Daekyeung University in South Korea. I teach Taekwondo not as a hobby, but as a discipline that builds character and physical strength. My students train to win, and I am there on the mats with them for every drill.
