In competitive Kumite, the difference between winning and learning lies in your mental state. At our Nariman Point and P.J. Hindu Gymkhana dojos, we simulate high-pressure tournament conditions so students learn to stay calm while executing precise Goju-Ryu techniques.
Training for the mat is different from daily practice. We emphasize traditional Kihon and Kata, but add layers of speed and strategy specific to competitive fighting. Our students, from young champions in our Nariman Point batches to athletes like Manan Parekh winning at the WGKF World Championship, follow the same path.
It begins with mastering the basics—stamina, stance, and breath control—and then advancing to tactical sparring. We do not just teach fighting; we teach how to manage the adrenaline of a tournament.
