Creative Experiments and Personal Projects
Moments from my personal archives and experimental shoots. This is where I test new lighting, play with color, and just see where the frame takes me.
A quiet, moody shot from a balcony on a cloudy day. I love capturing these atmospheric moments that feel like a still from a movie.
A shot taken from the water's surface on an overcast day. The dark, moody water and the soft light create a really unique and dramatic feel.
An experimental shot looking out towards a pool. I often play with framing and foreground elements to create a sense of mystery and peace.
About this collection
These images are my R&D. They are the result of testing new lighting setups, playing with color grading, or just wandering through Mumbai to see what catches my eye. This is where I experiment with the moody shadows and experimental framing that I eventually bring to your shoots. You are seeing exactly how I build a scene from scratch.
A lot of people ask why I bother shooting when I do not have a client brief. The truth is, my best ideas for client portraits or brand films usually happen when I have zero pressure. Whether I am at a quiet balcony or wading into water to get a specific angle, I am constantly refining my technique. I shoot RAW for everything because I need that control in the edit. Those deep, cinematic shadows you see here are entirely intentional. I spend hours in DaVinci Resolve or Lightroom matching the colors to the specific emotion of the day. If you are looking for a photographer who obsesses over the technical details, from using prime lenses to get that specific bokeh, to making sure the color grading feels like a movie frame, that is what I bring to the table. These personal projects are basically a map of my creative brain. If you like this look, we can replicate it for your portrait session, fashion reel, or brand campaign.
Rahul
I’m Rahul, and when I’m not working, I am usually still behind the camera, chasing light and trying out weird frames. I treat my personal shots like a playground, so the moody, cinematic style you see here is always evolving. Let’s create something that actually looks like you.
