Experimental Concepts and Raw Photography
This is my laboratory. I use this space to test lighting, break fashion norms, and hunt for the raw, cinematic frames that define my visual language.
A fashion portrait set in nature. The model is surrounded by apples, creating a soft, almost painterly scene. The warm, natural light and the organic props give this shot a completely different feel from my usual high-contrast work.
A raw, edgy portrait against a simple white brick wall. The lighting is harsh and direct, creating a gritty, almost confrontational mood. This is the kind of shot that builds a model's portfolio with attitude.
A short, looping video of the same setup as the previous image. Video allows for subtle movements and expressions that can add another layer of depth to a portrait, capturing the model's presence in a different way.
Another shot from the leopard print series. Here, the hard light from the side casts a strong shadow, adding drama and dimension. The pose is dynamic and captures a feeling of raw energy.
A full-length view of the leopard print look. The direct, slightly high-angled light creates a stark, powerful image. It’s a simple setup that delivers a high-impact result, perfect for a model's book.
A minimalist studio shot. Using just a clothing rack as a prop, the focus is entirely on the model's form and pose. This kind of clean, simple photography is essential for showcasing a model's physique and posing ability.
The same setup, but in black and white. Stripping away the color emphasizes the lines, shadows, and the model's form, giving the image a more classic and timeless feel.
Part of a deconstructed fashion series. We played with a simple white outfit, tearing and reshaping it to create new forms. This shot captures the beginning of that transformation, a moment of quiet before the chaos.
The energy is building in this shot from the deconstructed series. The model's pose is more dynamic, and the torn fabric starts to take on a life of its own. It's about finding beauty in imperfection.
A full-length shot from the deconstructed fashion concept. The final look is raw and edgy, a complete transformation from a simple white outfit. This series is about the process of creation and destruction.
About Additional Work
These images are not about pleasing a client or following a standard commercial brief. This is my laboratory, where I test complex lighting setups, deconstruct styling, and hunt for that raw, cinematic frame. You will see the rough edges here, experiments that push my craft further. That way, when we finally step on set for your shoot, I am not guessing, I am executing.
When you look through this collection, you are seeing how I solve problems with light. Some of these shots come from guerrilla-style street sessions in Colaba, while others are high-concept studio experiments where I use an optical snoot to carve out drama from a single light source. My goal with these projects is to strip away the noise and focus on texture, attitude, and the geometry of the human form.
Why This Matters
If you want a model portfolio or an editorial campaign that feels authentic, you need more than just good gear. You need a photographer who knows how to break a shot down when things get complicated on set. Whether we are shooting with a flagship Sony Alpha or just using natural light to create vintage film tones, I focus on the 'bhai, chin down' moments that capture real personality rather than just a pose.
Technical Approach
I don't rely on 'fix-it-in-post' mentalities. My process involves:
- Sculpting Light: I treat the studio like a lab, using gels and snoots to create contrast that brings out skin texture, not masks it.
- Directing Action: I guide models through movement. If you are stiff, I will get you moving until the lines and shadows look right.
- Visual Storytelling: Even in a simple studio setup, I look for the story. If it is a deconstructed fashion shoot or a raw portrait, I am looking for the grit that makes the viewer stop scrolling.
If you have a concept that feels a bit 'out there' or raw, this is the kind of work I thrive on. Aisa kuch kar sakte hain apan (We can definitely do something like this together).
