Cinematic Portraits and Fashion Films

A collection of my favourite frames and films. Whether it’s moody, cinematic portraits or smooth gimbal work, this is where I show off what I love creating most.

This is what my fashion editorial videography is all about. I love creating a cinematic mood with a focus on movement and style, making the final cut feel like a scene from a movie.

Capturing pure joy during golden hour at the beach. This is my go-to style: using beautiful, natural light to create portraits that feel warm, dreamy, and full of life.

A close-up from a studio session where I experimented with lighting and a bold purple background. I focus on retouching the mood and colors to make the portrait pop, not change your face.

An outdoor portrait session where the sunset, the location, and the red dress came together perfectly. I used the trees to create a beautiful, blurry bokeh effect that makes the subject stand out.

A little peek into my editing process. I'm a nerd for color grading and spend a lot of time getting the tones just right to transform raw footage into something with a distinct, film-inspired feel.

Using the city's architecture to frame a portrait. I love finding interesting angles and pockets of light to create a dreamy, editorial look even in an urban setting.

A short portrait film we shot at the beach. Using my gimbal allows me to get these super smooth, flowing shots that help tell a small story and capture personality in motion.

About this collection

When you look through these, you’ll notice I’m pretty obsessed with how shadows play with light. I shoot RAW not just for detail, but so I can spend hours in DaVinci Resolve color grading until the mood feels exactly like a movie scene. It’s not just about clicking a button; it’s about that specific cinematic texture I chase for every portrait.

My Approach to Creating Visuals

I treat every project, whether it’s a quick portrait session at a beach or a full-day brand campaign, with the same obsession for detail. I’m based in Mumbai and constantly using the city as my playground—from the quiet corners of local streets to the vast coastlines for that perfect golden hour glow.

Why My Style Sticks Out

  • Cinematic Color Grading: I don't just brighten photos. I spend time manually grading in DaVinci Resolve to get those deep, moody tones that feel like a film still rather than a standard digital photo.
  • Movement & Gimbal Work: For my fashion films and reels, I use a DJI RS3 gimbal to get those buttery smooth, flowing shots that look professional but still raw and authentic.
  • Natural Light & Studio Mix: I’m a huge fan of natural light, but I love messing around with bold studio gels and artificial setups when the vibe calls for something punchier.

What to Expect

If you book an outdoor portrait session, we’re looking at 2-3 hours where I guide you through poses while chasing the best light. If you’re looking for a fashion film or brand work, we’ll collaborate on moodboarding before the shoot so we’re on the same page about the aesthetic. I’m flexible with gear—if it gets the shot, I’ll use it—and I’m all about keeping the process chill, collaborative, and fun.

I’m Rahul. I spend most of my time wandering Mumbai, chasing stories, and figuring out why editing software decides to crash exactly when I’m finishing a grade. I’m not into rigid, boring shoots—I’m here to capture how you actually look and feel.
