I believe henna is a form of bhakti, and my greatest joy is sharing this art with my community. Whether I am teaching classes in Dombivli or judging college competitions, I am passionate about nurturing new talent.

A cherished memory from 2022, where I was felicitated for teaching a one-month mehendi course to 60 students. It is an honor to be recognized for my work in empowering women through art.

A look at my day as a judge for a mehendi competition at Mithibai College. It was inspiring to see so much young talent and to contribute my expertise to the event.

Here is my stall at the KDO Kalakumbh, a mehendi exhibition in Mulund. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase my work, my design books, and my organic henna cones to a large audience.

With my hardworking co-partner for the Nari Utkarsh Samiti mehendi classes. Collaboration and mutual support are key to organizing successful workshops.

With my wonderful co-assistants. I am so grateful for their valuable time and support in making our classes run smoothly.

Thanking the organizers from the Shree Nari Utkarsh Samiti for arranging the mehendi classes. It takes a team to create these opportunities for the community.

About this collection

When you join my workshops, you are stepping into a supportive space where we prioritize hands-on practice over theory. I limit my batch sizes to ensure that I can personally guide every shishya, helping you refine your cone control and motifs until you feel confident enough to create professional bridal designs on your own.

For me, henna art is my bhakti, my devotion. I view teaching as a sacred connection between guru and shishya, which is why I prefer an interactive, live-demonstration approach in all my classes. Based in Dombivli, I conduct structured courses that bridge the gap between being a beginner and a professional.

Why Join My Workshops

My classes are built on real-world experience, not just textbook theory. We focus on:

  • Cone Control: Mastering the pressure and precision required for those fine, intricate lines.
  • Design Composition: Learning how to build full-limb layouts, from traditional Indian motifs to modern Arabic styles.
  • Organic Mixology: I teach the chemistry behind the stain, including how to source the right henna powder and mix your own paste for a dark, long-lasting color.

Beyond the Classroom

My engagement with the community goes beyond teaching. Whether I am judging mehendi competitions at institutions like Mithibai College or showcasing my designs and handmade organic cones at exhibitions like the KDO Kalakumbh in Mulund, I love being involved in the Mumbai art scene. These experiences keep me grounded and constantly updated on current design trends and techniques.

If you are an aspiring artist looking to master this craft, or an organizer searching for a judge or workshop facilitator, I bring the same dedication to every session. My goal is to empower women through this art form, helping you build a skill that you can turn into a profession.
