My Design Process: From Concept to Reality
Behind the screen, there is a lot of messy, hands-on work. This is how I turn wild ideas into real costumes and characters.
This was a magical project. I took a futuristic dress concept generated by AI and brought it to life as a real, wearable overdress for the film *Love Insurance Kompany*. This video shows the journey from digital inspiration to physical creation.
A little glimpse into my process. A big part of my job is sourcing and trying on outfits myself to make sure the fit, feel, and look are perfect for the character or client. Here I am in a trial room checking out a potential look.
A photo of me on set, caught in a quiet moment during a shoot. My work takes me to all kinds of locations, and this image captures the feeling of being in the zone, surrounded by the tools of my trade.
Sometimes I am my own canvas. This is a Halloween look I created for myself, complete with skull makeup, a flower crown, and a prop scissor headband. It’s a fun way for me to experiment with costume and character ideas.
About Behind the Scenes & My Process
My work isn't just about picking an outfit, it's about the construction. I’m often found hand-painting jackets or trial-testing fabrics to ensure the fit is perfect for the camera. Whether it’s an AI-generated overdress or a film costume, I believe in making it real with my own two hands... no shortcuts.
I treat every script or mood board as a world-building exercise. A lot of what I do happens in the quiet moments before the shoot, from sourcing rare materials in Mumbai’s markets to late-night sewing sessions where I make sure every stitch tells a story. When you hire me, you aren't just getting a stylist, you’re getting someone who stays through the prep and the final wrap to handle continuity, quick repairs, and the little details that keep the character alive. My process is wild, sometimes messy, but always focused on that one specific spark we’re chasing. If you are looking for someone to help navigate the chaos of a film production or bring a specific character aesthetic to life, we should connect. Let’s talk about how we can make your next project feel just as real.
