Sustainable Art and Upcycling Workshops
Transform everyday waste into beautiful home decor. Join me to learn how to turn scrap MDF, glass bottles, and old tiles into unique, handcrafted art pieces.
Don't throw away old glass bottles. This image shows how you can upcycle a simple bottle by decorating it with floral designs using air-dry clay, turning it into a beautiful decor piece.
This is the first step in our "art out of waste" project. We use leftover MDF wooden cuttings and an old tile as the base for creating a unique wood mural.
The next step is to let your creativity run wild. Here, a student is painting and embellishing the MDF pieces with kundans and beads before assembling them onto the tile.
The finished wood mural on a tile, created entirely from waste materials. This project, done by a student in my summer camp, is a perfect example of how to create something amazing from waste.

About Sustainable Art: Upcycling & Recycling
It is not just about painting, it is about seeing potential in the ordinary. When we work with materials like leftover MDF scraps or empty bottles, we start by prepping the surface—a critical step many beginners miss. I will show you how to balance textures, apply air-dry clay, and use color to turn what you might usually trash into a statement piece for your home.
My philosophy is simple: reuse, reduce, recycle, and beautify. Whether you are a total beginner or looking to refine your craft, these workshops are designed to get your hands messy and your heart happy.
We cover a variety of surfaces and techniques. For bottle art, we explore how to create durable, tactile designs using clay molding, which acts as a fantastic base for painting. For wood murals, we often use scrap MDF or old tiles, teaching you how to build a composition that feels intentional and balanced.
Learning to upcycle is about seeing the world differently. You will learn about surface preparation, material compatibility, and how to finish your projects so they last. It is a process of discovery—looking at a milk bottle and seeing a planter, or a scrap of wood and seeing a mural. We operate out of my studios in RR Nagar and Kadubeesanahalli with small batches to ensure everyone gets personal attention. Whether it is a weekend workshop or a regular class, you will walk away with finished pieces you created from scratch.
