My Teaching Philosophy

Art is more than just making something look pretty. Over the past 22 years, I have seen how learning the right techniques—from the way you hold a charcoal pencil to how you mix warm and cool colors—helps children express themselves. My online drawing classes for kids are structured to be both educational and a place where they can relax.

What We Cover

We start with the basics because a strong foundation makes everything else easier. In my 8-session monthly courses, we focus on:

• Technique: Grip correction, brush strokes, and shading from B to 6B pencils.
• Color Theory: Understanding how to blend acrylics, watercolors, and oil pastels.
• Creativity: Interactive projects where we move beyond copying to creating original work.

Class Logistics

My classes are held live, so I can see what your child is working on in real-time. I often ask, "Channagi kaanista idiyalla ee thara madidre?" (Doesn't it look good if you do it this way?) to help them self-correct and build artistic judgment.

• Batch Structure: We meet twice a week, fitting easily into school schedules.
• Support: I provide clear guidance on the art kits and specific stationery brands your child will need upon joining.
• Flexibility: While we focus on drawing, we also touch upon basic craft concepts so they get a well-rounded creative experience.
