How We Design Your Couple Kicks

When you approach me for a couple set, the process is very collaborative. You don't need to be an artist to have an idea. You just need to have a story. Maybe you want to incorporate the date you met, a shared love for a specific sports team, or a unique monogram that blends your initials.

Here is how we bring it to life:

• The Mock-up Phase: After we chat about your ideas, I create a digital mock-up. This is where we finalize placement and colors. You can suggest changes here, and we don't start painting until you are happy with the layout.
• The Medium: I primarily work on Nike Air Force 1s or Blazers, but I am open to other silhouettes if you have a preference. You ship the sneakers to my Mumbai studio, and I handle the rest.
• The Art: I use high-quality Angelus leather paints. The process involves removing the factory finish, painting in layers, and sealing it with an industrial-grade waterproof and chip-resistant finisher. This isn't just for display. You are meant to wear these, walk in them, and live in them.

Can I Wash Them?

Yes, but handle them with care. Because they are hand-painted, they aren't meant for the washing machine. A quick wipe with a damp cloth is enough to keep them fresh. Since I use flexible additives in the paint for high-crease areas like the toe box, the art is designed to move with your foot, not crack.

Turnaround Time

Painting is a slow process, especially when balancing two pairs. Please factor in a 2 to 3-week window from the time I receive your shoes to when I ship them back. If you have a specific deadline, like an anniversary or a wedding date, just mention it when we chat, and I will do my best to make it happen.
