Custom Hand-Painted Sneakers & Wearable Art
I’m Ridhii. I turn your regular sneakers and bags into personal stories. From vintage coffee-dyes to intricate portraits, let’s make your kicks one-of-a-kind.
This is where the magic happens. I take a classic pair of white Nike Air Force 1s and transform them into a piece of wearable history, inspired by intricate Persian and Portuguese mosaic tiles. The process starts with my signature coffee and tea dye method to create a beautiful, aged canvas before I hand-paint every single detail.
For the love of cars and kicks. I customized these Nike Dunks with a Porsche theme, dyeing them with coffee to get that perfect vintage base. Every element, from the car's colors to the iconic Porsche branding, is meticulously hand-painted using durable Angelus leather paints.
Imagine walking in your favorite painting. I brought Van Gogh’s iconic "Starry Night" to life on a pair of Nike Air Force 1s. Each brushstroke is carefully placed to capture the movement and emotion of the original masterpiece, turning these sneakers into a true collector's item.
My art is deeply inspired by my South Asian roots. On these Air Jordan 1 Mids, I combined elements of traditional Indian Chintz textiles, Jaipur's architecture, and Mandala art. It’s a celebration of culture, hand-painted onto a modern canvas.
My art isn't just for sneakers. I transformed this beautiful leather tote bag with a hand-painted political map of Lucknow. This project shows how we can turn everyday accessories into deeply personal items that tell a story, in this case, a tribute to a beloved city.
This one was a blast to create. I painted these Converse Run Star Motion sneakers with a vibrant, detailed sugar skull design. The complex patterns and bold colors pop against the unique silhouette of the shoe, creating a statement piece that’s impossible to ignore.
Just in time for the Grand Prix. These Nike Dunk Lows are customized for a Formula 1 fan, themed around the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 car. I included details like the Petronas and Pirelli logos, Lewis Hamilton's number 44, and the iconic team colors for an authentic look.
About this collection
Every custom piece starts with a digital mock-up, so you see exactly how your idea looks before I touch the leather. I use durable Angelus paints and seal every project with a professional water-resistant finish, ensuring your art stays pristine while you actually wear it on the streets.
Sneaker customization is not just about slapping paint on a shoe; it is about taking a factory-standard pair of Nike Air Force 1s, Dunks, or Converse and giving them a permanent soul. Whether you want a pair of kicks that tell the story of your travels through vintage-style stamps, or you are looking for a photorealistic tribute to a favorite painting, the process remains rooted in durability and detail.
The Process
We start with your theme. You tell me what you want, and we iterate on a digital mock-up until it hits the mark. Once approved, I begin the work—this can involve anything from my signature coffee-dyeing method (which gives white leather a rich, vintage patina) to fine-line brushwork using 00-sized brushes for maximum detail.
Why Hand-Painted?
Unlike factory prints, hand-painted art has depth and texture. I use industrial-grade leather preparers and finishers to ensure the design survives toe creases, rain, and daily wear. If you have a specific vision, like an F1 livery, a cultural motif, or a pet portrait, we can bring it to life on almost any surface, including luxury bags and accessories.
Practical Details
- Base Shoe: You provide the base sneaker, or we can source it together.
- Timeline: My standard turnaround is 2 to 3 weeks for full painting, drying, and curing to ensure the finish is chip-proof.
- Scope: I work on everything from simple swoosh color-blocking to complex, full-coverage fine art pieces.
Ridhii Makkar
I'm Ridhii, and to me, sneakers are just blank canvases waiting for a story. I take your ideas—whether it's a memory, a hobby, or a wild concept—and bring them to life with steady hands and a lot of coffee. No fluff, just pure, hand-painted art for your feet.
