We believe a home should feel like a deep breath. In our Cedar Abode project, we balanced minimalist forms with playful, personal touches to create a space that feels calm yet deeply expressive.

This children's room was designed with space-saving solutions like a Murphy bed to maximize play area. The blue and white color scheme is fresh and modern, with custom perforated wardrobe doors adding a unique touch.

We incorporated the children's passion for music with this piano nook, featuring a wallpaper of sheet music and a "LIVE" neon sign. It's a fun, energetic corner that truly brings the room to life.

For the football lover, we added a custom wall decal. It's a simple but effective way to personalize the space and reflect the child's interests.

In the second children's room, we used a bold, graphic fabric for the custom headboard. The reflection in the mirror shows a hint of a guitar, a nod to the child's passion for music.

This room features a rich wine-red ceiling and two-tone pink walls, creating a warm and playful atmosphere. The custom headboard and minimalist furniture keep the space from feeling cluttered.

About Cedar Abode: Minimalist Forms with Playful Details

The magic of this 1,115 sq. ft. home lies in the deliberate contrast between minimalist foundations and specific, playful interventions. Notice the custom Chinese-style wardrobe handles and the arched doorways; these aren't just aesthetic choices but tools we used to break the monotony of a purely neutral palette and guide the eye through the space.

Minimalist Forms, Maximum Personality

Minimalism often gets mistaken for emptiness. In Cedar Abode, we defined it as removing the noise to let the personality shine. By sticking to a neutral base, we allowed architectural elements, such as the seamless archways, to act as the room's main features rather than cluttering the space with extra furniture.

The Art of Details

When you strip back the excess, hardware becomes jewellery. We sourced bespoke handles for the wardrobe units, blending traditional motifs with modern finishes. It is a tactile detail that changes how the room feels when you open a door, providing a quiet moment of luxury in a busy city like Mumbai.

Designing for the Family

Minimalist homes must be liveable. We integrated smart storage, including Murphy beds and foldable desks, to ensure that play areas remain spacious. We did not shy away from color either. The children's rooms use bold, graphic fabrics and thematic lighting to match their energy, proving that minimalist design is flexible enough to accommodate different personalities without losing its serene core.
