About Concert Announcements

Whether I am performing a solo veena recital at a Chennai sabha or a larger ensemble on an international tour, I update this space with the specific percussion lineup and sound requirements for each event. Do note that for my intimate chamber concerts, seating is often limited, so checking the booking details early is always a good idea.

My concert calendar is a reflection of my musical diary. I am constantly experimenting with formats, which means my performance schedule ranges from traditional Carnatic vocal-veena recitals to complex jugalbandi setups with tabla or mridangam.

What to Expect

When you see an upcoming date, it indicates the specific configuration I am bringing. For instance, my solo veena concerts are designed for intimate listening where I focus on raga alapana and manodharma. In contrast, my ensemble performances, especially those at larger festivals like the Barkha Ritu, involve more collaboration and spontaneity with other artists.

Technical and Venue Nuances

I am quite particular about the acoustic environment. The Saraswati Veena requires specific contact microphones to capture its subtle nuances. If you are attending a chamber concert, you will find the sound is purely acoustic or lightly amplified. For larger auditorium performances, I always request a sound check to ensure the balance between my veena and the percussionists is perfect.

Staying Connected

I share these announcements so that we can meet and share the music. If a concert is ticketed, I usually link to the relevant platform. If you have questions about a specific venue or if you are looking to host me for a private concert or lecture demonstration, feel free to reach out via WhatsApp.
