About this collection
When I rework a Bollywood classic, I do not aim to replicate the original recording. Instead, I strip it back—often to just guitar and vocals—to find the core emotion of the lyrics and melody. Whether it is a soulful ballad or an upbeat pop number, my goal is to provide a performance that feels intimate and connected to the room, rather than a generic backing track experience.
Whether it is the timeless charm of an old-school Bollywood melody or the infectious energy of independent Hindi pop, my approach is consistent: keep it raw and real. I do not believe in playing music just to fill the silence. When you book a performance for a wedding or corporate event, you want music that resonates with your guests.
Why Reimagined?
Many of the songs we grew up with have deep emotional value. My arrangements focus on the story within the song. By shifting the tempo, changing the instrumentation, or playing with the dynamics, I bring out nuances that often get lost in high-production film recordings.
Setting the Vibe
- Intimate Sets: For Sangeets or family dinners, I perform as a duo with guitar or keys. It is perfect for settings where you want great music that supports conversation rather than overpowering it.
- High-Energy Ensembles: For larger celebrations like receptions where people want to dance, my 4-5 piece band brings a fuller, electric sound. We play everything from funk-inspired Bollywood covers to pop-rock adaptations.
