About Weddings, Sangeets & Private Parties
I don't just stand there and sing. I love walking into the crowd, taking requests, and keeping the energy high so everyone feels involved. Whether you want a slow, soulful start for a wedding ceremony or a full-on Bollywood party set for your Sangeet, I adapt my playlist and performance style to exactly what your crowd is feeling in the moment.
Music sets the tone for the entire event. For smaller house parties or Mehendi functions, I often perform solo with high-quality backing tracks. It is perfect for intimate settings where you want that live vocal feel without the space requirement of a full band. For Sangeets and larger wedding receptions, we can bring the full ensemble—drums, guitars, and keys—to create that concert-level impact.
My setlist changes based on who is in the room. I will keep the ghazals and romantic classics for when people are eating or settling in, and shift to high-tempo tracks like 'What Jhumka' or 'Kamli' once the dance floor opens.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Sound System: For solo gigs, you provide the sound mixer and speakers. For full band shows, I will need a technical rider to ensure the audio is crisp and the band sounds great.
- Customization: Let me know your favorite songs beforehand. If you have a specific theme or want me to emcee a bit between sets to keep the momentum going, just say the word.
- Travel: I travel across India for shows, so just tell me your venue location when we chat.
