These aren't studio-polished recordings. This is my space for vocal warm-ups, raw experimentation, and finding truth in the music. Welcome to my practice room.

A clip of me working on technique with an Italian classical piece, "Pianissimo". This kind of practice is incredibly humbling and essential for my growth as a singer, even though my main focus is jazz and blues.

Practicing an Italian classical piece by Vivaldi. I find that returning to classical music is a wonderful way to warm up my voice and maintain vocal health.

A one-take performance of "Satisfied" from the musical Hamilton. This challenging piece was a great way to test how far I've come in my vocal journey, blending different styles.

A stripped-down acoustic cover of "My Hero" by Foo Fighters. Sometimes the most powerful performances are the simplest, allowing the emotion of the lyrics to shine through.

Singing "For a Dancer" by Jackson Browne. His music has been a constant companion, and this song is one I would want played at my own funeral. It's deeply meaningful to me.

An acoustic cover of "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World. This song's message has always stayed with me, and I love performing this longer, stripped-down version.

A cover of "Promise Me" by Beverley Craven. I love singing ballads, and this beautiful song from an underrated artist has always been a favorite of mine.

A simple cover of "Secret" by Madonna. This is a stripped-down version of her pop and R&B classic, focusing on the melody and lyrics.

A cover of "Don't Start Now" by Dua Lipa. The disco and funk-inspired bassline on this track is fantastic and makes it a really fun song to sing.

A cover of "About Damn Time" by Lizzo. The funk-tinged, groovy bassline on this song is infectious and it's a joy to perform.

About From My Music Room: Solo Covers & Vocal Practice

What you see here is exactly how I prepare for a gig or a new collaboration. These are one-take videos, often filmed in my home setup, where I push my vocal range with everything from Italian classical pieces to the Foo Fighters. There is no autotune or heavy production, just me, my instrument, and a commitment to keeping the performance real.
