About Building Our Dream: From Vision to Reality
When I was building the studio, I knew one thing for sure: the flooring had to be perfect. I chose a professional sprung wood system specifically to absorb shock and protect your joints, so whether you are jumping in a Bollywood routine or holding a yoga pose, you can move with absolute confidence.
Creating R1 Dance and Yoga Studio was a labour of love and faith. I wanted to build more than just a dance floor. I wanted a sanctuary where the josh is high but the environment remains calm.
In the heart of Yelahanka New Town, I looked for a space that could handle it all. It needed to be airy and bright, so I made sure there were large windows to let in natural light. We installed large wall mirrors not just for the look, but so you can correct your own posture during practice.
The soul of the studio is the Nataraj idol, a reminder of the spiritual connection I bring to every session. We built this to be a judgment-free zone where everyone, from toddlers in summer camps to adults seeking flexibility, feels welcome. My motto, 'Manifest, Believe, Receive,' is not just a sign on the wall. It is the vibe we cultivate here.
Whether you are joining for 3 weekly sessions of Hatha flow or a 15-day intensive workshop, the studio is equipped with everything you need. We have changing areas, shoe racks, and air-conditioned ventilation to keep the energy high. This is not a factory-line gym, but a space where we come together to create some real magic.
