Dance is my way of connecting with the divine. From the ancient steps of my Odia heritage to the stillness of sacred spaces, I find my rhythm in spirituality.

Dancing at the historic Lepakshi temple. I believe the power of faith and the practice of art, when combined, bring ultimate peace to the soul. This place has a divine energy that is truly inspiring.

A dance pose in front of the magnificent stone structures of Lepakshi. The blend of my dance with this historical background is a unique amalgamation of art and culture that thrills my soul.

A flexible and dynamic pose at the Ellora Caves. These ancient sites are filled with artistic inspiration, and I can't help but feel the urge to dance and connect with their history.

A performance to a Sambalpuri song. I am incredibly proud of my Odia heritage, and I love to express my culture through the vibrant and energetic movements of our traditional folk dances.

A classical dance pose on the steps of an ancient temple. These sacred spaces have been home to dancers for centuries, and I feel a deep connection to that lineage when I am here.

An incredible stone carving of a deity from a temple wall. The intricate details and dynamic postures of ancient Indian sculptures are a huge source of inspiration for my choreography.

A carving of the dancing Shiva, Nataraja. This powerful depiction of the cosmic dancer is a constant reminder of the divine origins of our art form.

A beautiful moment with a fellow dancer at the Lepakshi temple, sharing our love for art in a sacred space.

Another pose at Lepakshi, feeling the energy of the sky and the ancient stone. It's in these moments that I feel most connected to my art and my spirit.

At the entrance of one of the Ellora Caves. The grandeur of these rock-cut temples is breathtaking, and they always fill me with a sense of wonder and reverence.

About My Odia Roots & Spiritual Journey

It is not just about the steps, but the energy behind them. When I teach, I bring this exact same grounded, spiritual connection into our studio sessions. Whether you are learning a traditional Odia folk routine or a high-energy Bollywood sequence, the focus remains on feeling the movement from within and letting your inner josh take over.

My journey as an odia jhia has taught me that art and culture are the best teachers. Whether I am dancing in front of the historic stone structures of Lepakshi or the majestic Ellora Caves, the ancient energy of these places fuels my choreography. I believe that every dancer has a story, and my role is to help you find yours.

Bringing this heritage to my Bangalore studio is a dream. We do not just memorize steps; we understand the intent behind them. My workshops, whether for festival specials like Garba or regular choreography batches, are designed to make you feel as grounded and empowered as I do when I dance at a temple or a cultural site. You will learn the technical precision of classical movements and the free-spirited joy of folk traditions. Join the R1Family, manifest your potential, and let us create some Bhasad Macha together.
