About Bollywood Dance: Fun & Filmy
We do not do complex drills on day one. I teach 'basic by basic,' meaning we break down every filmy step into pieces that anyone can learn. My studio in Yelahanka is equipped with a professional sprung dance floor, which means you can practice those energetic moves and jumps without worrying about your knees or shins.
What to Expect in Class
What happens in a Bollywood class at R1 Studio? First, we leave the stress at the door. Whether you are a total beginner or just looking to pick up some new moves, we focus on the joy of dancing. My teaching style is all about high energy and 'bhasad macha,' creating an environment where it is okay to make mistakes because that is how we grow.
We meet for 60-minute sessions where we go from warming up to mastering a full routine. Every 2 to 3 weeks, we wrap up a track. For those who want that extra boost of confidence, we organize a group video shoot at the end of the routine. We use professional lighting so you have a great memory of your progress to share with friends.
Batch Options
If you are worried about the commitment, we have different options to suit your life:
- Weekday Batches: Best for those who want consistency, with 12 sessions per month over 3 days a week.
- Weekend Batches: Designed for working professionals or students who can only dedicate time on Saturdays and Sundays.
My goal is to make sure that by the time you leave the studio, you feel exactly like I do: 'mun bahut khusi achi' (I am very happy).
