About Active Bodies, Happy Hearts
Our campus in the RMV Extension features a secure, artificial turf play area designed specifically for young children to run, jump, and climb safely. This space is the heart of our outdoor curriculum, where we balance high-energy games with structured movement, ensuring every child develops motor skills and coordination in a protective environment.
Building Strength and Confidence
We believe that physical health is the foundation for cognitive growth. Our 'Active Bodies, Happy Hearts' program is not just about playtime; it is a carefully structured approach to childhood development.
Yoga and Mindfulness We introduce our little Asters to basic yoga poses during our daily sessions. This helps them improve flexibility and balance while teaching them to find calm and focus. Whether it is a simple breathing exercise or a partner pose with a frisbee, these activities encourage self-awareness and mindfulness from a young age.
Safe and Engaging Outdoor Play We know that children learn best when they are moving. Our outdoor area, equipped with child-safe rockers, slides, and ride-on cars, provides a venue for free play. This unstructured time is critical for imagination and social bonding. Because our area is turfed, it stays clean and safe, meaning less worry for parents and more fun for the children.
Why Physical Activity Matters at Purple Asters
- Motor Skills: Climbing and running improve gross motor skills, while handling craft materials and puzzles helps with fine motor coordination.
- Social Development: Group games like our annual Sports Day races teach kids to cooperate, take turns, and cheer for their friends.
- Confidence: Mastering a new pose or completing a race gives children a sense of achievement that boosts their self-esteem.
We keep our teacher-student ratio low, ensuring that every child gets the attention they need during physical activities. If you want to see how we balance academics with active play, we would love to show you around our Sanjayanagara center.
