Vibrant Haldi & Pre-Wedding Decor Setups
Your pre-wedding celebration deserves more than generic backdrops. I design intimate, vibrant spaces using dense, fresh florals, traditional brass accents, and handwoven elements that bring your family traditions to life. Let’s make your Haldi photos glow with colour and soul. 🌸
An outdoor Haldi ceremony setup featuring my signature dense marigold wall. The stage is complemented by a floral chandelier and comfortable floor seating, creating a festive and inviting space for guests.
A quick tour of this vibrant marigold backdrop. The sheer volume of flowers creates an incredible texture and color, perfect for a joyous Haldi or Mehendi function.
I love adding delicate touches like this minimalistic floral chandelier. Made with marigolds, ferns, and other wildflowers, it added a touch of rustic charm to the Haldi ceremony tent.
A pretty welcome sign for a Haldi ceremony, adorned with fresh yellow roses and baby's breath. In the background, you can see the main event space with its bright marigold decor, setting the tone for a fun-filled event.
This Haldi ceremony decor combines the sunny yellows of sunflowers and marigolds with traditional brass vessels (urulis) and lamps. The result is a look that feels both classic and full of fresh energy.
For Sanjana's pre-wedding celebration, I created this unique hut-style mandap made entirely of woven coconut leaves. The backdrop features a beautiful floral kolam design, blending eco-friendly decor with traditional art.
About this collection
I am often asked why I insist on dense, fresh marigold walls for Haldi ceremonies. The answer is simple: texture. Standard drapes lack the depth and scent that fresh flowers provide, and when you combine them with traditional brass urulis or woven coconut leaf mats, the space instantly transforms from a generic event area into a warm, inviting setting for your family rituals. 🤍
Bringing Your Vision to Life
Every event I design for a Haldi or pre-wedding function starts with a conversation about what feels 'home' to you. Whether it is a quiet, intimate naming ceremony at home or a lively Sangeet at a banquet hall in Bengaluru, I believe the decor should reflect that energy.
My Design Approach
- Floral Density: I don't believe in sparse arrangements. Whether we use marigolds, roses, or tuberose, I ensure the floral walls and chandeliers are lush and full. It creates that vibrant look that makes your photos pop without any filters.
- Traditional Elements: I incorporate elements like kuthu vilakku (brass lamps), floral urulis, and temple bells to ground the space in tradition. These aren't just props, they add the classic, familiar scent and glow that define a truly traditional South Indian setup.
- Eco-Friendly Choices: I love working with nature. If you prefer a plastic-free celebration, I can design stunning backdrops using woven coconut leaves, banana plants, and natural floral borders. It is a beautiful way to keep your wedding sustainable and authentic.
Custom Themes
I love creating unique setups, like the hut-style mandaps made of coconut leaves or incorporating Pichwai art if that matches your aesthetic. If you have a specific colour palette or a memory you want to recreate, let’s talk about it. My team and I handle the end-to-end setup, from the entrance arch to the final floral chandelier, so you can focus on enjoying your big day. Let’s create something beautiful together.
