Photography and Videography Workshops
A look behind the lens. Understanding how lighting and angles transform beauty—from workshops with students to real-time campaign shoots.
A look inside a photography and videography workshop I led for makeup students. Sharing my knowledge and helping others grow their skills is an important part of what I do.
About this collection
Pradeep's background as an engineer brings precision to his lighting setups. He does not just shoot; he explains the mechanics behind the lens. Watching him work at makeup academies reveals the technical care he takes with reflectors and softboxes, ensuring skin texture and makeup detail are captured perfectly, rather than relying on heavy post-production.
Photography is as much about physics as it is about art. My approach to photography workshops is to bridge that gap for makeup artists and aspiring photographers. When I work with makeup academies in Bengaluru, the goal isn't just to take a pretty picture; it is to teach students how to read the light, manage reflections, and select the right camera gear for different beauty looks.
Why Lighting Matters
Whether we are setting up a ring light for a macro eye shot or using a strobe for a full-length portrait, the technical foundation remains the same. I focus on:
- Frequency Separation: Teaching students how to maintain skin texture while removing imperfections.
- Light Modification: Understanding how a reflector or softbox changes the mood of an image.
- Composition: Framing that highlights the specific makeup technique, whether it's bridal, editorial, or glam.
Collaborative Learning
These behind-the-scenes moments show my collaborative process. I believe that if you understand the camera and the lighting, your work stops being a product of luck and starts being a product of intention. If you are an academy looking to host a photography workshop or a brand wanting a campaign that showcases your technical skills, I am happy to share my process and help your team get the best results.
Pradeep Photography
I am Pradeep. By day, I am an engineer; by heart, a photographer. I do not believe in over-editing or fake drama. Whether I am capturing a high-energy Kambala race or teaching a workshop for makeup artists, I focus on the light and the real moment.
