Become a Foster Parent for Rescued Dogs in Bangalore
We operate without a physical shelter, so our foster network is the only lifeline our rescues have to get out of hospital cages and into a home.

A foster appeal for Sushi, a 2-year-old pug who was abandoned. We rely on fosters to provide temporary homes so we can continue to rescue more dogs in need.
This is what we mean when we say fostering saves lives. Luna, a husky rescued from a breeder, is seen thriving in her foster home, learning to be a dog again.
A foster appeal for Mishri, a 4-6 year old lab who needed a quiet home to recover after her chemo and before her surgery. We cover all expenses for our foster families.

About this collection
Fostering is the bridge between a dog's recovery and their forever home. We handle all medical expenses, diagnostic tests, and dietary requirements, including providing grain-free, meat-based food. Your role is simply to provide a safe, calm environment where a dog can decompress from the trauma of abandonment or hospitalization while they wait for adoption.
When we rescue a dog from abandonment, illegal breeding, or a critical medical situation, the transition from a clinical environment to a home is the most important part of their recovery. Because we do not have a physical shelter, our foster parents act as the vital bridge.
Why we need foster parents in Bangalore
Dogs like Mishri, who spent weeks in a hospital undergoing chemotherapy, need a quiet, comfortable place to regain their strength before surgery. Others, like Luna, need a stable environment to manage conditions like epilepsy. Being in a home rather than a hospital cage significantly reduces their stress, helps them trust humans again, and allows us to understand their true personality, which makes adoption much easier later.
What is expected of you
- A Safe Space: We have a strict 'no-cage, no-kennel' policy. Your home should be a place where they can move freely and feel secure.
- Specific Care: Many of our rescues, especially those recovering from surgeries or illnesses, require a species-appropriate, meat-based diet. We will guide you on this, and we cover all expenses including medical visits, supplements, and food.
- Patience: These dogs are often coming out of trauma. They might have accidents, anxiety, or specific medical routines, but the reward of seeing a scared, abandoned dog learn to play or sleep peacefully on a bed is unmatched.
If you can open your heart and home for a few weeks or months, you are the reason a dog gets a second chance at life. We provide the medical support; you provide the love they desperately need.
PL Paws
We are a team of volunteers without a shelter, so our foster network is the heart of everything we do. We handle all medical bills and support, but we need homes where our rescues can finally decompress and feel safe.
