About Baby's First Year: Showers & Milestones
Unlike mass-produced designs, I pair light, whipped cream finishes with completely handmade, edible sugarpaste figurines. I do not use moulds, which means whether you want a traditional Annaprasan setup or a modern bohemian teddy bear theme, I can customize the clothing, pose, and tiny props to match exactly what you have in mind.
Planning a celebration for a new baby or a growing toddler is all about capturing the mood of the day.
Why Whipped Cream? Most people think detailed character cakes require heavy fondant, but I do things differently. I have perfected a way to deliver intricate, sculpted character designs on light, delicious whipped cream cakes. You get the stability of a designer cake without the heavy sweetness or thick fondant layers that often go to waste.
From Showers to Annaprasan I work across the full spectrum of baby celebrations.
- Baby Showers and Gender Reveals: I often use soft color palettes, floral accents, and sleeping baby toppers.
- First Birthdays and Milestones: These are my favorite because I get to add personality, like a mini version of your child’s favorite toy or the outfit they are wearing.
- Traditional Ceremonies: For events like an Annaprasan, I recreate traditional props and seating arrangements in edible sugar paste to ensure the cake fits your cultural needs.
My Process Because these toppers are hand-sculpted, not poured into a mould, they require time. I work with sugar paste mixed with Tylose for strength. For complex figurines or scene setups, I need 48 to 72 hours to ensure the structure is completely dry and stable before delivery.
