Inside the Academy: Our Training & Philosophy
We don't just teach moves; we help you understand the physics and intent behind every strike. Whether you're here to learn the basics or compete, my goal is to help you find balance in the chaos of the cage.

As a coach, I'm always observing. Here I am watching two fighters face off, analyzing their posture and mindset before they even throw a punch.
Martial arts is a form of meditation. I teach that every move must have life, combining body, mind, emotion, and energy. In this clip, I'm demonstrating how to channel intention into every strike during pad work, making the training both physically effective and mentally profound.
Heavy bag work is essential for developing power, endurance, and technique. Here, I'm working on combinations, integrating punches and kicks to simulate a real fight scenario.
About this collection
We don't rely on random drills. I’ve developed a flowchart-based curriculum for MMA grappling and an anatomical approach to jiu-jitsu, ensuring you learn techniques that suit your body type, not generic moves. Our sparring sessions are highly controlled, focusing on technical execution so you can build your fight IQ without picking up unnecessary injuries along the way.
Training with Purpose
At Phenomenal MMA, training is about the 'why.' When you step onto our mats at Jayanagar or Whitefield, you aren't just following a fitness routine. We focus on the mechanics of the Muay Thai clinch, the leverage in a wrestling takedown, and the flow of a BJJ transition.
Our Approach to MMA
Most gyms throw beginners into the deep end, but we do things differently. We use progressive matchmaking based on skill level, not just weight. This approach builds a fighter's spirit rather than just padding a record. You’ll find our sessions blend intense HIIT with technical flowcharts, ensuring you get a complete workout that improves your fight IQ simultaneously.
What You Can Expect
- Technical Drilling: We break down every movement so it becomes second nature.
- Controlled Sparring: We keep the intensity high but the ego low. This is how you learn to manage your energy under pressure.
- Mentorship: As an active pro fighter, I am in the corner for my students. You get the same game-planning and mental conditioning strategies that I use for my own bouts.
Whether you are training for competition or just want to master the art of combat, you need to understand that fighting is a journey. We talk about life, the universe, and everything in between. Oss.
Phenomenal MMA Academy
I'm Raj Viperidae, founder of Phenomenal MMA Academy. I’ve spent years rolling in the cage, fighting through injuries, and refining what it means to be a martial artist. I’m here to guide you—whether you're looking to get fit or sharpen your striking for the ring—with the same intensity and attention I put into my own fight camps.
