About Elegant & Dramatic Gown Portraits
You don't need to stress about the wardrobe or posing. I keep a collection of ruffled, flowing maternity gowns right here in the Mulund studio, so you can walk in and just enjoy the experience. I’ll guide you through the small movements, like how to drape the fabric or angle your bump, so we capture that dramatic, high-fashion look without it feeling stiff or unnatural.
While my heart usually lives in the forest, I love transforming my Mulund studio into a space for something more refined and classic. This cluster is about celebrating the powerful, regal side of pregnancy.

These sessions are heavily focused on styling. We use gowns with rich textures—think tulle, ruffles, and flowing fabrics—that catch the light and add movement to your portraits. Whether you want a dark, painterly aesthetic that feels like a vintage oil portrait or a bright, floral setting, we create a backdrop that makes you feel like the centerpiece.
Why the Studio?
Unlike my outdoor nature shoots where we chase the shifting sun, the studio gives us complete control. We can manipulate the light to create dramatic shadows that contour your bump or soft, even lighting for a clean, editorial look. It is a controlled, air-conditioned environment, which means you can relax and focus entirely on the shoot without worrying about the weather or finding a private spot in public.
What to Expect
- Guided Posing: I don't believe in stiff, mannequin-like poses. I will give you gentle, simple directions to help you stand or sit in a way that feels natural yet looks elegant.
- Collaboration: Feel free to bring your partner or older children. Including them adds a layer of warmth and connection to these dramatic setups.
- Customized Looks: We can mix the high-fashion gown look with something more personal. If you have a family heirloom, a specific piece of jewelry, or a saree you love, bring it along. Let’s weave it into the session to make these portraits truly yours.
