When you are choosing between a studio session or an outdoor shoot, think about where you feel most like yourself. My home studio in Mulund offers a quiet, controlled environment for detailed fine-art portraits, complete with gown changes and makeup assistance. Alternatively, my outdoor sessions are all about the golden hour—chasing natural light in forests or quiet gardens. Whichever path you choose, we focus on guiding you gently rather than forcing poses, so you can just be.
My Approach: Telling Your Story
My photography is not about stiff smiles or perfect poses. Whether we are in my Mulund studio or out in the wild, the goal is to capture the real ehsaas (feeling) of your pregnancy. I treat each session as a collaboration, where your comfort is the priority.
Studio Sessions: Heritage & Bohemian Styles
For those who prefer the comfort of an indoor setting, my home studio is designed for a relaxed experience. We focus on two main aesthetics:
- Heritage Portraits: Inspired by the regal paintings of Raja Ravi Varma, these sessions use traditional sarees, rich drapes, and vintage props. I provide professional draping assistance to ensure you look timeless.
- Bohemian & Fine Art: We use earthy tones, dried flowers, and macrame to create a soft, ethereal vibe. These sessions are perfect for mothers who want a mix of classic elegance and creative, dreamy edits.
Outdoor Sessions: Chasing the Golden Hour
If you love the outdoors as much as I do, we will head to a forest or nature spot in Mumbai or Thane. These sessions are strictly scheduled during sunrise or sunset to get that soft, natural glow.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Comfort is Key: You do not need to worry about props or heavy direction. I use gentle cues like 'thoda bahar jaana' (move a little outside) to get candid moments of connection with your partner or older children.
- What to Wear: I have a curated closet of maternity gowns available for your use, but I always encourage you to bring your own sarees or outfits that make you feel truly beautiful.
- Flexibility: Since outdoor shoots are weather-dependent, I am very flexible with timing to ensure we get the best light. If we need to reschedule to capture the perfect misty morning, we will.
