Stop Motion Animation Workshops for Teams
Forget stiff, awkward corporate icebreakers. We use clay, phones, and simple props to help your team build a story, frame by frame. It is messy, fun, and honestly, a great way to actually get to know each other.
This short, charming stop motion video was created by participants in one of our workshops. It shows how simple objects, a bit of clay, and a good story can come together to create something magical.
A behind-the-scenes look at our stop motion animation workshop. You can see the setup, the materials, and the focused collaboration as participants bring their stories to life, one frame at a time.
We even use board games as inspiration for our stop motion workshops. The colorful pieces and built-in themes provide a great starting point for teams to build a narrative and animate a fun, short story.
Teamwork in action during a stop motion animation session. Participants work closely together to set up the shot, move the characters, and capture each frame, learning the power of patient, detailed collaboration.
All you need is a smartphone and a tripod to get started with stop motion. Here, a participant carefully frames a shot, demonstrating how accessible and easy it is to begin creating your own animated videos in our workshop.
Creating the scene is a huge part of the fun. Here, a team builds a campfire scene using cut paper, preparing to animate a story. This hands-on, crafty element is central to the workshop experience.
A participant is completely absorbed in the process of creating her stop motion film. Our workshops are designed to be engaging and empowering, allowing everyone to dive deep into their creative flow.
About this collection
We do not do professional studio gear that makes you nervous. We bring mini-studio boxes and help you turn the phones already in your pockets into film cameras. You will spend about three hours working as a team to script, model, and shoot, and by the end of it, you will have a short film you built together to show off.
Stop motion is basically just patience and play. We start with simple things like clay, paper puppets, and maybe even the board game pieces you have lying around. It is not about having a background in film or tech. It is about everyone having a role. While some folks are scripting the plot, others might be building the set or moving the characters, frame by tiny frame.
We guide you through the whole loop:
- Storyboarding: Deciding what happens in your film.
- Modeling & Props: Making characters out of clay or paper.
- Shooting & Editing: Using industry-standard apps on your own phones to piece it all together.
We provide everything: the light diffuser boxes, phone mounts, and enough clay and construction paper to make a mess. You just need to bring your team's energy. We can host you at our Indiranagar makerspace if you want a change of scenery, or we can bring our entire setup to your office.
By the end of the session, you will have a 15-30 second video file. It is not just a cute souvenir. It is a tangible result of you all working together, compromising on creative choices, and figuring out how to tell a story under a time limit. It is low stress, builds real connections, and is way better than a trust fall.
