Meet Our Team and Indiranagar Makerspace
We are a group of curious folks in Indiranagar who believe coding and art should be fun. Come see where we build, experiment, and learn together.
Meet the machines of PCL. In this video, I talk about our philosophy for choosing tools for our makerspace. We prioritize machines that are user-friendly and have a low barrier to entry, ensuring that anyone can come in, learn quickly, and start creating.
Why do we do what we do? In this video, I share the story behind Paper Crane Lab and our mission to make learning about STEM and art a fun, experimental, and curiosity-driven process for everyone.
What exactly do we do at PCL? This video explains the two main arms of our work: our community makerspace in Bangalore and our outreach programs with schools and non-profits. It's all about making hands-on learning accessible.
People often ask who makes up the PCL team. This video introduces our core team and our amazing network of on-call facilitators who bring diverse skills and passion to our workshops. We are a community of curious makers and educators.
Come on a quick tour of our makerspace. This video shows off some of the cool and quirky things you'll find at our lab, from a tessellation wall made from an old window to a vintage mechanical calculator.
Here's a peek at what's happening at PCL. This video gives a weekly update, covering everything from corporate workshops and public events to our community outreach projects, like setting up a new STEM lab in a local school.
A quick recap of the workshops we hosted in March. From laser cutting and woodworking to 3D printing and Arduino, our lab is always buzzing with people learning, making, and collaborating.
About this collection
When you walk into our Indiranagar lab, you will not find sterile or silent workstations. Instead, you will see a slightly chaotic, welcoming space filled with laser cutters, 3D printers, and projects in progress. It is a place to make mistakes, learn, and try again until your idea works.
Our story started during the pandemic with a simple mission to make science accessible through paper-based projects. Today, we operate as a hybrid of a non-profit and a wild maker space. We are proud of our Indiranagar location, where we house 3D printers, laser cutters, woodworking gear, and plenty of electronics. Our philosophy is simple. We avoid intimidating lectures and focus on tangible projects. Whether you are building a light-up card to understand circuits or designing a custom keychain, we guide you through the process step by step. Our team consists of core facilitators and a wonderful network of on-call mentors who bring diverse skills to the table. We work with schools, companies, and individuals who share our passion for tinkering. If you want to see our machines in action or just chat about a project, feel free to drop by for a tour.
