Creative and Mindful Making Workshops in Bangalore
Put your phone down and pick up something real. Our Indiranagar lab is all about the joy of making—whether it is sewing, zine-making, or string art—without the pressure to be perfect. Come mess up, fix it, and have fun.
Our workshops are about learning and having fun together. After a session on making origami boxes, the group started an impromptu game of Origami Jenga. It’s these spontaneous moments of play and connection that make team building meaningful.
In this workshop, we teach the simple, mindful art of folding paper to create beautiful and functional origami boxes. Once the boxes are made, they can be stacked, stored, or even used for a friendly game of Jenga.
String art is a wonderfully meditative activity that produces stunning results. By weaving colorful threads between points, straight lines create magical curves. We partner with expert facilitators to bring this relaxing and mathematical art form to our lab.
Don't throw away that favorite shirt just because of a small hole. Our Visible Mending workshop teaches the beautiful and sustainable art of darning and patching. It’s a practical skill that turns repairs into a unique design statement.
This poster for our String Art workshop showcases the beautiful geometric patterns you can create with just thread and a board. It's a perfect activity for teams looking to unwind and create something beautiful together.
Zines, or tiny DIY magazines, are an amazing medium for self-expression. In our zine-making workshops, we provide the materials and inspiration for teams to create their own booklets filled with doodles, thoughts, or collaborative stories.
Our Sewing 101 workshop is a great introduction to using a sewing machine. Participants learn the basics while making a simple and charming item, like these little fish-shaped drawstring pouches, often using upcycled fabrics.
About this collection
You do not need an artistic bone in your body to join these sessions. We actually love it when things go a bit wrong—that is usually where the best ideas and the funniest stories start. Whether you are learning visible mending or trying your hand at zines, we provide the tools and a judgment-free space for you to disconnect from your screen and reconnect with your hands.
We treat our makerspace in Indiranagar as a sanctuary for the curious. Whether you are repairing a beloved shirt at a Visible Mending workshop or creating your first zine, the focus is always on the 'slow' side of making. You learn to embrace the process—darning a patch, folding paper, or weaving intricate string patterns—rather than rushing toward a perfect end result.
We keep our group sizes manageable so you get plenty of time with our facilitators and fellow makers. If you have been searching for creative workshops in Bangalore that do not involve formal classroom settings or stiff instructions, you are in the right place. We invite you to bring your own fabrics to our sewing sessions, or just show up for string art and zine-making empty-handed. We have the tools, the materials, and the patience for you to learn at your own pace. It is about building a community of people who enjoy getting their hands dirty.
