Awards like the Vachana Sahityashri are deeply meaningful to me because they validate the work of bringing ancient Kannada poetry to modern audiences. I bring this same level of research and dedication to every event or musical score I compose, ensuring that the music serves the narrative first.
Receiving recognition like the Karnataka Women Achievers' Award and the Vachana Sahityashri is a humbling experience. To me, these are not just points on a resume but endorsements of the path I have chosen, blending classical roots with experimental sounds.
My work often sits at the intersection of old poetry and new beats. Whether I am composing for a major museum installation or directing a festival stage, the goal is always to make the listener feel connected. When I accept an award, I see it as a blessing from the audience and the fellow artists who have walked this path with me.
