About Featured
Joining the team isn't just about showing up; it’s an intensive 4 to 5-month commitment of 4 to 6 hours of studio time weekly, focusing heavily on Salsa On2 choreography and stage presence. We hold auditions not to judge, but to ensure you're at a level where you can thrive and sync with the group's rhythm.
Training for the Stage
Success on stage is born from the grind in the studio. Our performance training is designed for dancers who have moved past social dancing basics and are ready to push their limits in Level 3 and 4 classes. We don't just teach steps; we work on the intricate details that make a routine pop—formation transitions, partner connection, and the facial expressions needed for real stage projection.
The Season Structure
We structure our training in 4 to 5-month cycles. This includes:
- Technique Drills: Rigorous work on spins, body movement, and intricate footwork specific to Mambo and Salsa On2.
- Formation Coaching: Learning to navigate the stage, manage transitions, and maintain perfect synchronization.
- Showmanship: Training on how to command the stage and engage the audience.
Why We Audition
We know the word 'audition' can be intimidating, but our process is about fit and growth. It’s a 90 to 120-minute session where we assess your timing, choreography retention, and adaptability. We want to see how you vibe with the squad, not just your technical stats. If you're looking for a serious challenge and a dance family that groans and laughs through the sweat together, this is the right place for you.
