Contemporary Residential Architecture
We start with a hand-drawn line, turning abstract concepts into living spaces. Our homes are shaped by light, volume, and the rhythm of your daily life.
stacked… the neeti residence exterior, where interlocking blocks define the building's massing.
A video tour of the neeti residence, showing the deconstructed form and the central atrium with its indoor pool.
the resulting interior volume… a tall, narrow space within the neeti residence, drawing light down from skylights.
swimming pool at guest level… the water body is integrated into the ground floor living area.
An expansive view of the indoor pool and living space, designed as a single, flowing sanctuary.
resultant space… the angular walls create unique interior geometries for the guest room corridor.
fenestrations… carefully placed windows and glass walls frame views and control light.
family space… a double-height living room at the sandeep & neelam agarwal residence, overlooked by a glass-walled master bedroom.
The open-plan family area connects visually to the upper levels and the outdoor garden through large glass panels.
skylight… casting linear shadows along a corridor, turning a simple passage into a play of light and texture.
About Contemporary Residences
Our approach centers on the interplay of light and volume. We use skylights to carve out vertical paths for natural light, transforming simple corridors into bright, gallery-like transitions. This technique, applied in our projects, ensures even deep floor plans remain airy and connected to the sky throughout the day.
The journey of a home begins with a hand-drawn sketch. We believe the concept must be solid before a single brick is laid. By starting with manual drawings, we explore massing and form to see how a building sits in its environment.
Once the idea takes shape, we use 3D visualization to test how light hits a wall, how the volumes stack, and how spaces flow. We treat architecture as a process of peeling away layers to reveal the core living space, focusing on clean lines.
Our residential projects use technical solutions to achieve this simplicity. We coordinate structural elements, such as cantilevers or large glazing, to ensure the building remains functional while appearing light. Whether it is an indoor pool or a rooftop terrace, every element serves a purpose.
We guide you through the process, from site analysis covering wind and sun paths to final GFC drawings. We manage structural coordination for MEP systems, ensuring plumbing, electrical, and HVAC requirements do not clutter the design. We aim to create a sanctuary rooted in the context of the site.
