Healthy eating does not mean sacrifice. I believe in enjoying the food you love—pizza, mithai, cheesecake—by simply swapping refined ingredients for nature's bounty. Everything here is made without oil, sugar, or dairy.

Everyone loves pizza, and this gluten-free Margherita pizza is one you can enjoy every day. I make the base from amaranth flour and top it with a rich, homemade tomato sauce and creamy cashew cheese. It’s a wholesome, delicious, and simple recipe that your whole family will love.

This vegan strawberry cheesecake is the perfect special treat for your loved ones. The crust is made from almonds and jaggery, and the creamy filling uses a blend of cashews and fresh strawberries, thickened with agar-agar. It’s a beautiful, healthy dessert that proves you don't need dairy to indulge.

My favorite Bengali sweet, Sandesh, gets a healthy, protein-rich makeover. I use tofu instead of paneer and blend it with seasonal fruits like strawberries to create a delicious, guilt-free dessert. It's a great way to satisfy your sweet cravings and even get kids to enjoy more fruit.

Who says you can't have mithai during Diwali? This Gulkand Rabdi Mousse is a game-changer. I make a creamy, rich rabdi using cashews and dates, then infuse it with a homemade gulkand of dried fruits and rose. It's a decadent dessert that's diabetic-friendly and perfect for any celebration.

This carrot and beetroot halwa is a healthy twist on a classic Indian dessert. It's completely sugar-free, oil-free, and dairy-free, sweetened naturally with date paste. The beetroot gives it a beautiful pink color, and it’s a comforting treat you can enjoy any time of the year.

Desserts can absolutely be healthy, and this peanut and banana "nice cream" is proof. Made with just roasted peanuts, frozen bananas, and dates, it's a creamy, nutritious, and guilt-free dessert. It’s the perfect way to satisfy your ice cream cravings without any of the bad stuff.

This creamy chocolate pudding is a comforting treat you can enjoy hot or chilled. I make it with rolled oats, cashews, and cacao powder, sweetened naturally with date paste. It's a simple, wholesome dessert that proves you don't need dairy or sugar to create something truly indulgent.

This mixed berry sorbet is a healthy, refreshing dessert perfect for anyone, whether you're managing diabetes, on a weight loss journey, or just want a healthy treat for your kids. It's made by blending frozen berries and bananas with soaked almonds and date paste for a creamy, naturally sweet sorbet.

Beat the summer heat with this healthy vegan watermelon sorbet. I blend frozen watermelon and banana with a dash of lime juice and creamy cashew butter for an extra rich texture. It's a simple, guilt-free treat that’s incredibly refreshing and easy to make.

Here is a quick hack for a deconstructed fruit cake in a jar. I layer cake crumbs, a little jaggery water for moisture, mixed fruits, and a healthy vegan cashew cream. It's a simple, beautiful, and delicious dessert that you can whip up in minutes for a guilt-free indulgence.

About Deliciously Healthy: My Plant-Based Recipes

Forget the myth that healthy food is boring or restrictive. My approach is about unlearning the habits that make us sick and rediscovering the joy of cooking with whole foods. When I make a pizza base from amaranth or a cheesecake from cashews and fresh fruit, I am not just replacing ingredients; I am restoring the prana—the life force—to your meals. You will see that you don't need oil or refined sugar to achieve deep, satisfying flavors; you just need to work with what nature provides.

My kitchen is an extension of my belief that Jaisa khao ann, vaisa pao mann (as you eat, so becomes your mind). I have personally reversed health issues like high cholesterol and skin problems by switching to a whole food plant-based (WFPB) lifestyle, and my recipes reflect the same philosophy.

Why WFPB Works in My Kitchen

I focus on three core pillars in every dish you see here:

  1. No Refined Ingredients: No white sugar, no refined oil, and no dairy. We use dates, jaggery, and nut butters for sweetness and richness.
  2. Nutrient-Dense: Whether it is protein-rich tofu in my vegan Sandesh or bone-strengthening Gond in traditional winter laddus, every bite is functional food.
  3. Flavor Without Compromise: Techniques like using date paste instead of sugar or cashew cream instead of dairy allow us to recreate classics like Puran Poli, Rabdi Mousse, and even gluten-free Margherita pizza.

How to Get Started

  • For the Diabetic-Friendly: Many of my desserts, like the strawberry sorbet and beetroot halwa, are naturally sweetened and safe for those managing blood sugar levels.
  • For the Traditionalist: You don't have to give up Indian comfort food. My versions of Puran Poli and Rajasthani Gond Laddus retain the traditional taste but remove the inflammation-causing oils and fats.
  • For the Busy Home Cook: I share these recipes to show you how simple it is to prep. Most of these dishes, from my nice cream to deconstructed fruit jars, take minimal time and zero fancy equipment.
