- Statement Shrug: Long, open-front jacket constructed from the decorative pallu/borders.
Premium Detailing
- Edging: Extensive bias binding or piping on shrug edges for a boutique finish.
- Structure: Canvas reinforcement in the collar for shape retention.
- Lining: Included for skirt and top (optional for shrug depending on transparency).
Saree to Floor-Length Gown
Service & Fabrication
- Deconstruction: Opening old seams, removing fall/pico, and steam ironing to prep fabric.
- Patterning: Strategic cutting to utilize saree borders (pallu) for yoke, sleeves, or hem.
Stitching & Materials
- Construction: Floor-length gown (up to 56 inches) with full internal overlocking.
- Materials: Includes 3-4 meters of standard quality lining (Shantoon/Crepe).
- Structure: Padded front (cups), canvas fused neckline, and concealed zipper.

- Lehenga Skirt: Custom-tailored (Kali, A-line, or Box Pleated) utilizing the main saree body.
- Designer Blouse: Padded blouse made from pallu with fancy necklines/back designs.

- Volume: Hard net (Cancan) layer attached to give the lehenga flare.
- Lining: Color-matched soft lining (Shantoon/Cotton) for both blouse and skirt.
- Accessories: Handmade fabric tassels (latkans) for blouse back and lehenga waist.

My Story
Hey, we’re Needles & Thimbles. Started off just wanting to make stitching less of a headache, you know? Tired of running after tailors and settling for off-the-rack fits, so we thought, why not bring the tailor home? We’re a bunch of designers and karigars (craftsmen), more like a family now, always cracking jokes in the workshop. Every piece we stitch, it’s got a bit of our story.
