Behind the Scenes: My Custom Tailoring Process

Getting the fit right is a hands-on process. Whether it is marking the hemline or adjusting the waist, I do the final checks myself in my Sector 57 studio to ensure the garment moves with you, not against you.

When you come to my studio, we do not just jump into sewing. We start with a conversation. I want to understand what makes you feel comfortable, whether you are bringing a vintage saree for upcycling or have a sketch for a new party gown. I personally oversee the cutting and the trial fittings because I know that a few millimeters of extra margin or the right placement of padding makes all the difference.

My studio setup allows me to focus on these tiny details that larger boutiques often miss. I work with high-quality linings like butter crepe and shantoon to keep the clothes soft, which is especially important for kids wear or outfits worn for long festive hours. I also make it a point to add extra margins in the seams so you can adjust your clothes as time goes by.
