Bespoke Blouses & Corsets
Design & Fit
- Consultation: 1-on-1 session to finalize necklines (halter, sweetheart, plunge) and back designs.
- Structure: Includes heavy-duty padding, cups, and double lining (butter crepe/cotton) for shape retention.
- Corsetry: High-end options include boning for structure, back lacing, or reinforced side zippers.
Materials & Work
- Fabrics: Cost includes sourcing premium Viscose Velvet, Raw Silk, or Modal Satin.
- Detailing: Includes piping, fabric buttons, handmade tassels (latkans), and border placement.
- Embellishment: Zardozi highlights or mirror work on necklines and sleeves for higher-range items.
Service Specs
- Trials: 2 rounds of fit trials included to ensure a glove-like fit.
- Finishing: Internal gumming and overlocking to prevent seam irritation.

- Utility: Trousers feature deep pockets and an elasticated back waist with a flat front belt.

- Embroidery: Machine embroidery motifs (floral/abstract) with manual bead or sequin highlights on shoulders or cuffs.
- Finishing: Detailing includes scalloped edges, pin-tucks, and contrast facing.

- Sizing: Made-to-measure for all sizes, including specific cuts for plus sizes.
- Adjustments: Sleeve length, pant length, and neckline depth are fully customizable.

- Types: Floor-length Anarkalis, Sharara sets, or heavy Straight Suits.
- Flare: Anarkalis feature 12-16 kalis (panels) creating a 3-4 meter ghera (circumference).
- Fabric Base: Flowy materials like Georgette, Crepe, or seasonal Velvet.
Embellishment
- Work: Features machine-applied Gota Patti, foil mirrors, or thread work on yokes and borders.
- Dupatta: Full 2.5-meter dupatta included, featuring tassels and borders (Banarasi weave or dyed chiffon).
Construction Specs
- Lining: Full Shantoon or Cotton lining attached to the main garment.
- Fasteners: Includes invisible zippers and back dori with heavy latkans.
Cocktail & Sangeet Lehengas
The Skirt (Lehenga)

- Structure: built-in layer of 'Can-Can' (hard net) for ballroom shape, plus satin lining.
- Fabric: Options include Tie-Dye, Sequin Georgette, or fabrics with mirror-work.
The Blouse (Choli)
- Cuts: Designer styles like Halter, Off-shoulder, or Bustier cuts.
- Support: Heavy padding included; fully embroidered or mirror-work fabric.
Dupatta & Accessories
- Drape: Net or Organza dupatta, available pre-pleated or free-flowing with borders.
- Latkans: Heavy, custom-fabricated latkans attached to the waist.

- I work with you to design from scratch, picking fabrics, embroidery styles, and silhouettes. Whether you want a made-to-measure ethnic outfit like a lehenga, saree, dress, or co-ord set, we co-create step by step.
- You never have to fit into standard sizing here. I specialize in plus size custom occasion wear and believe every body deserves a perfect fit.
For Every Story & Celebration
- Weddings? I do timeless anarkalis, detailed shararas, and those statement lehengas with handwork and love.
- Festivals like Navratri or Diwali? We go bold with colour, fabric, gota patti and mirror work - all personalized festive lehengas and sarees that make you want to dance.
- Parties and cocktails? If you want a hatke (unique) velvet blazer, sequin gown, or a drape skirt with a twist, we’ll make it happen.

My Story
Been at this since 1995, but you know, the excitement never fades. Started Alankriti in 2003 with my daughter, just believing style means feeling good in your own skin. For me, every outfit tells a story - from dance costumes that sway with each taal, to that dreamy sangeet lehenga. I love mixing tradition and a bit of fun, so whether it’s a twirly festive lehenga or a chilled-out linen dress, it’s always about you feeling ‘apni si’ (like yourself).
