Real Kabaddi isn't played only on mats. At NEA Kabaddi Academy, we train for the mud and the ground, building the raw grit needed for Circle Kabaddi.

About Circle Kabaddi: The Traditional Grind

Circle Kabaddi requires a completely different approach compared to indoor mat games. You aren't just training for agility; you are mastering the unpredictable surface of a ground court. We focus on specific defensive moves like the 'Chin Tackle' and 'Chain Tackle' that work when your footing isn't perfect, preparing you for the reality of traditional mud kabaddi matches.

Training for the Ground

Unlike indoor mat kabaddi, Circle Kabaddi is played on open, often uneven ground. This changes everything—from how you plant your feet to how you execute a raid. At NEA, we ensure you aren't caught off guard by the surface. Whether you are aiming for District, State, or National level, my training module replicates match conditions so you build the right kind of strength.

Essential Circle Kabaddi Skills

I don't teach shortcuts. If you want to succeed, you need to master the basics and the advanced techniques alike:

  • Defensive Drills: We run heavy drills for Ankle Holds, Thigh Holds, and the specialized 'Chin Tackle.' You will learn how to coordinate a Chain Tackle, which is vital when you need to stop a raider in his tracks.
  • Raiding Strategy: Learn to use the ground to your advantage. We work on specific footwork that prevents you from slipping and helps you maintain balance during high-intensity raids.
  • Physical Conditioning: You’ll be doing more than just kabaddi drills. We integrate functional strength training—tire flips, sprints, and hurdle jumps—to build the explosive power required for this format.

The Path to Winning

My students don't just practice; they win tournaments. We have a track record at SFA Championships, CBSE Nationals, and KBD Juniors. If you are serious, we have the facilities: mat for technical work, mud tracks for grip strength, and an all-weather indoor hall for monsoon training.

We train six days a week, with double shifts available for dedicated athletes. For outstation players, we provide a full residential program with a focused high-protein diet. This is not for the timepass crowd. It is for those who are ready to put in the work, just like the Uttar Pradesh State team players I have coached. If you are ready to sweat, I am ready to coach.
