About Building Future Champions (Beginners & Kids)
Most beginners walk in with the 'pan-handle' grip, which kills your wrist range and causes injury. In my foundation batches, I do not let you move to heavy smashing until your V-grip is solid. It feels slower at first, but it is the only way to build a swing that lasts. If the basics are wrong, your game will always be limited.
How We Train Beginners
I treat every student, regardless of age, as a future athlete. My coaching is not just about knocking the shuttle around. We focus on three things:
- Technique over Power: We start with the V-grip and chasse footwork. You need to learn how to move your feet before you worry about the smash.
- Drills for Agility: We use ladders and hurdles. You might think you're just playing, but we are building the speed you need to cover all four corners of the court.
- Mindset: Yes, even for kids, we start sessions with focus drills. If your mind isn't on the court, your body won't be either.
The Logistics
We train at multiple locations across Nerul, Vashi, Badlapur, and Kalyan. Classes are group-based with a tight coach-to-student ratio, so I can keep an eye on everyone. You don't need to be a pro to join. You just need to show up on time, listen, and be ready to work. If you are serious about picking up the racket, we will get you there.
What to Expect
My coaching is straightforward. If you hit the shuttle wrong, I will tell you. 'तूने shuttle मारा नीचे से ऊपर' (You hit the shuttle from below). We will fix it, and we will repeat it until it is natural. We use durable nylon shuttles for training to ensure you get more hits in per session without worrying about damage.
