About The Process: From Blank Screen to Art
It all starts with a simple photo. I begin with rough shapes on my iPad to capture your likeness, then refine the features to bring out that bit of fun. Whether it is a quick sketch or a detailed doodle, I share the rough draft with you first. We tweak the expressions until it feels right, then I finalize the colors and textures, sending you a high-resolution file that is ready to frame or print.
How I Build Your Digital Portrait
Every piece of art I create follows a flow designed to keep you involved. After we discuss your idea, I move to my iPad and Procreate, where I build your illustration. I treat every digital file with the same care as a hand-drawn sketch, ensuring the details are crisp and the character is preserved.
The Workflow
- Consultation: You send me your photos and ideas. Whether it is for a wedding invite or a birthday gift, I need to understand the vibe. If it is a group portrait, we talk about the arrangement.
- The Sketch Phase: I create a rough composition. This is where I define the proportions. I will share this with you so we can confirm the layout and key details like clothing or props.
- Refining & Colour: Once the sketch is approved, I move into the final line art and color application. I use a high-resolution 300 DPI canvas, which means you can print your final file on anything from small greeting cards to large wall posters without losing quality.
- Revisions: My process includes dedicated rounds for feedback. I want to make sure the jawline, the smile, or the specific outfit detail is exactly as you imagined.
Deliverables
When the work is done, I send you a high-quality JPEG and PNG file. You get a transparent background version as well, which is helpful if you want to print your portrait on merchandise like mugs or t-shirts later. Whether you need a simple B&W line art or a complex, full-color doodle, you get a digital original that is entirely yours to keep.
