From sketch to stunning. This video shows the process of creating a beautiful, colorful caricature, including the use of pastels to blend and add highlights.
About The Artistic Process
I believe in transparency before I lay down the ink. For all custom framed caricatures, I share a rough pencil sketch with you first. This ensures we align on the pose, props, and overall composition before I start with the markers and color, so there are no surprises when you receive your art.
My process is designed to be as fun for you as it is for me. Depending on what you choose, I work with two different approaches.
Digital Caricatures
For digital portraits, I work on my iPad using professional software. This is ideal if you need a quick turnaround or high-resolution files for social media or self-printing. I focus on bold lines and expressive features, delivering your artwork in 24 to 48 hours. You get a high-quality JPEG and PNG file that you can print up to A3 size.
Hand-Drawn & Framed Art
For physical gifts, I use traditional tools: acid-free cartridge paper, alcohol markers, and brush pens. This is a deliberate, tactile process. I build the sketch first to capture your likeness, then layer the colors to bring the drawing to life. Once finished, I frame it in a sturdy synthetic wood frame with acrylic glass to ensure it reaches you safely, anywhere in India.
Why the Pencil Sketch Matters
Art is subjective, especially when it is a caricature. By sharing a pencil sketch first, I allow you to request adjustments to the layout or expression. My goal is to make sure the final version really looks like you or your loved one, with that extra touch of humor and quirkiness that makes a caricature special. Whether it is a couple portrait for an anniversary or a themed artwork, this approval step keeps the experience stress-free.
