A look at the gear, the chaos, and the creative decisions that turn a regular travel trip into a cinematic story.

Happy World Photography Day. This is me, checking my shot. Seven years behind the lens has taught me that every moment has a story waiting to be told.

Another shot for World Photography Day, this time with a vintage film camera. It's a reminder to appreciate the art of photography in all its forms.

"Kaam aate rehta hai, phir nikal lene ka." This reel is about the life of a photographer, always ready with the gear, always looking for the next shot.

If I ever won the lottery, I wouldn't tell anyone, but there would be signs. My dream editing and gaming setup would definitely be one of them.

"Why is his attendance low?" Because he's out exploring the world and telling stories. This reel is a fun take on my passion for travel and filmmaking.

"Na tumse hai koi kahin." A poetic reel that connects the feeling of being in the mountains with the feeling of being with someone special, all through the lens of my camera.

I'm just chilling, but my version of chilling is setting up the perfect sunset shot at the beach. This video shows my camera's POV before revealing the final stunning result.

The Artist vs. The Art. A look at me, the creator, and the beautiful, fiery sunset art that I capture.

My motto is simple: Capture Everything. This reel is a montage of me in action, always with a camera or phone in hand, ready to film the next beautiful moment.

"I don't really understand what's going on." A humorous take on being a filmmaker, inspired by Christopher Nolan, where the final result is a beautiful but abstract sunset.

About Behind The Lens

I don't believe in just pointing and shooting. Whether I am wrestling with a dheela (loose) remote in the middle of a Himalayan trek or chasing the exact moment a monsoon cloud breaks over Marine Drive, I treat every setup like a puzzle. I constantly mix high-end Canon gear for depth with my iPhone 15 for those raw, fast moments, ensuring the final film feels like a piece of a movie rather than a stock video.

How I Build a Frame

For me, the gear is just the start. I carry a mix of tools because every environment demands a different approach. My DJI Mini 4 Pro is non-negotiable for getting that sense of scale in the valleys, but my Insta360 is what I grab when I need that immersive, gritty POV shot. When I am editing, I don't just dump clips on a timeline; I look for the rhythm. I sync cuts to the audio, use color grading to push that moody, nostalgic look, and layer in ambient sound like the wind or local street noise to transport you back to the location.

The 'Messy' Reality

People often see the polished result and think the shoot was perfect. The truth? It is messy. It is muddy shoes, dead batteries, and waiting hours for the light to shift just right. That is why I love travel events and destination shoots—you cannot plan for everything, and that is where the magic happens. If you want a film that captures the adrenaline of a road trip or the quiet soul of Mumbai, we are going to get our hands dirty to get the shot.

My Approach to Deliverables

I keep the process transparent. Whether we are doing a quick social media reel package or a full 4K cinematic narrative, you get a story-driven edit. I don't give you random clips; I give you a sequence with a beginning, middle, and end, graded to match the vibe we discussed.

I'm Avinash, and I treat every camera I pick up like a storyteller. I'm obsessed with the moody Mumbai aesthetic and finding that cinematic angle in the most ordinary places.
