Vintage Bombay: Cinematic Shoots for Classic Cars
South Bombay's timeless charm, captured through classic cars and heritage streets. I chase the nostalgia of a bygone era in every frame. ✨

About Vintage Bombay
Getting the perfect shot of a vintage beauty like a Premier Padmini or a Morris Minor isn't just about the car. It’s about timing the light against the Fort area’s architecture, avoiding the afternoon crowd, and waiting for that specific, quiet moment when the city feels like it’s frozen in time.
Photography is often about what you include in the frame, but for my Vintage Bombay series, it’s just as much about what you leave out. I am constantly hunting for that clean background—a textured wall in the Fort area or the grand arches near Horniman Circle—that lets the car tell its own story without the distraction of modern traffic.
My Process
When I shoot these classic machines, I’m looking for the ‘mood’. I often use my iPhone with anamorphic lenses to capture those signature wide, cinematic flares that give the shot a nostalgic, movie-like quality. If we need something more intense, I switch to my Canon mirrorless setup to get that creamy depth of field that separates the car from the busy city backdrop.
What we can create:
- Classic Car Portraits: Showcasing the curves and chrome of your vintage vehicle with South Bombay’s heritage buildings as the backdrop.
- Cinematic Rolling Shots: Getting that 'motion' feel while cruising through quiet, early morning heritage lanes.
- Heritage Brand Shoots: Perfect for brands that want to pair their products with the aesthetic of old-world charm.
South Bombay has a rhythm. You have to work around the daily hustle and the unpredictable light, but when you catch that golden hour glow hitting the hood of a Premier Padmini, it’s pure magic. Whether you are a vintage car owner wanting a portfolio for your ride, or a brand looking for that specific retro aesthetic, I know the spots that will make your photos look like a frame from a classic film.
