Custom Gouache & Sketchbook Artworks
I use my sketchbook to explore new ideas and capture fleeting moments of inspiration. Each piece is painted with gouache, giving it a rich, matte, and opaque finish.
I took on a challenge to paint a landscape using only left and right strokes with acrylic markers. It was a fun way to break out of an art block and trust the process.

About Gouache & Sketchbook Art
Unlike my larger canvas work, these pieces are created on 300 GSM cotton paper, which makes them perfect for desk displays or intimate wall groupings. I choose gouache for this series specifically for its signature matte, opaque finish, which gives every scene a dreamy, storybook quality that acrylics on canvas sometimes miss.
Because these are done on professional 300 GSM cotton paper (I prefer Arches or Baohong for the texture retention), they act as beautiful, tactile keepsakes.
Why I love gouache for these
Gouache is incredibly versatile. It dries matte, so you get that lovely, flat aesthetic that looks like a printed illustration but has the soul of a hand-painted original. It is the perfect medium for these smaller landscape studies and fantasy scenes I love to paint.
A note on caring for your art
Since these are paper-based illustrations, they require a bit of care. Unlike my varnished canvases, these gouache pieces need to be framed behind glass to protect them from dust and moisture. They are delivered unframed, which gives you the freedom to pick a frame that matches your room's vibe.
