My Approach to Capturing Your Family Story

Most of our session will involve me following your kids around while they play, rather than asking them to look at the camera and smile. I focus on those spontaneous, unscripted interactions that happen when you stop posing and just start being together as a family.

When you look at your photos years from now, I want you to remember the feeling of the day, not just how you looked. My photography style is rooted in the belief that the most beautiful family portraits are the ones where you are simply yourself.

I started mommy.sees the day my daughter, Divisha, was born. She is my muse, and she taught me that the best photographs are rarely the ones where everyone is sitting perfectly still. Whether we are shooting in your living room in Mumbai or at a local park, my process is designed to be relaxed.

I prefer minimal props and natural light. This keeps the focus entirely on the bond between parents, children, and grandparents. If we are shooting at your home, we work around your routines—feeding breaks, playtime, and nap schedules are all part of the process. I believe in black-and-white portraits for the same reason: they strip away the distractions of color to reveal the raw emotion of the connection between you.

My packages are built to accommodate this pace. Whether you need a quick, 40-minute mini session for a milestone, or a longer, 4-hour generational shoot for the entire family, I coordinate with you on outfit choices and timing beforehand. This preparation ensures that when the camera comes out, we are ready to capture the laughter, the stubborn faces, and the quiet hugs that make your family story unique.
