About Our Family Story
A common worry I hear from parents is that their toddler or baby might be 'difficult' on the day of the shoot. Please don't worry about that. Some of the most honest, beautiful photos I have ever taken happened when a child was tired, fussy, or just being themselves. We work around their moods, not the other way around, to make sure you get pictures that actually feel like your family, not a stiff portrait session.
When you book a standard family session with me, we are looking at about 90 minutes to 2 hours of time. This is purposeful. It gives us space to settle in, let the kids get comfortable with the studio environment, and let the parents relax. I do not believe in rushing the process or forcing a child to smile.
My approach is to balance a few classic, posed portraits—the kind you frame for the living room—with lifestyle shots where you are interacting, playing, or just cuddling. If we are in my Powai studio, we have the advantage of soft, controlled lighting. If you prefer an outdoor setting, we can look for natural, open locations around Mumbai that allow for more movement and play.
We will discuss your outfits and styling before the shoot. I usually suggest neutral or pastel tones because they keep the focus on your expressions and your connection rather than the clothes. My goal is for you to look back at these images in ten years and remember the specific way your toddler gripped your hand or the way you looked at each other in that exact season of your lives. It is not just about a pretty photo; it is about keeping a piece of your history safe.
